Abstract

The work aims to provide theoretical basis for the application of film packaging materials in postharvest preservation of fruits and vegetables. The concept, advantages and application of the three kinds of common film packaging materials in the postharvest preservation of fruits and vegetables at home and abroad were reviewed, and the problems currently existing in the films were analyzed and summarized. The film packaging material, generally featured by safety, non-toxicity and environmental protection, was widely applied in food, medicine, environment, biology and other fields. The application of nano film, edible film and functional film package in the postharvest preservation of fruits and vegetables was mainly introduced herein. The study of film applied in fruit and vegetable preservation is still in its infancy, and there are still many problems to be solved. This convenient, non-toxic and harmless preservation technology will become the future development trend of China's postharvest preservation technology for fruits and vegetables.
