Abstract

The work aims to design a packaging machine which can realize automatic sorting of different sizes of goods, with respect to the problem of low efficiency and high labor costs of goods currently sold on the Internet. The size of goods was detected by the distance photoelectric sensor and the different sizes of goods were sorted. The well sorted goods were picked by the mechanical arm and placed in the box transmitted by the conveyor belt. Then, the goods were sealed by the moving cylinder. Finally, the properly sealed goods were subject to external packaging with the automatic packaging machine. The sorting and packaging machine designed could rapidly sort out and package the goods. The automatic control was achieved based on the movement of the machine driven by the cylinder and no manual operation was required. With a simpler structure, the packaging machine could be operated more conveniently. The goods sorting and packaging machine can be used for sorting and packaging of different sizes of goods, which can both help the large-scaled stores and logistics companies sort out the miscellaneous goods, and help the small-scaled online shops rapidly sort out and package a variety of goods. In such case, the efficiency is improved and the waste of human resources is reduced.
