Abstract
It pointed different methods according to different types of APP icons, and the methods were compared in order to provide valuable reference for the graphic design practice of mobile phone APP icon. Based on the theories of semiotics, the design ideas and methods were summarized according to different types, through the analysis of a large number of examples.It studied the relationship between graphics and expressive means of APP icons. It pointed out that different types of icons in the appearance of similarity, the chief selling point and method aspect of the design from a practical point of view. Designers should make a comprehensive analysis of the actual situation of the characteristics of applications, user requirements, and visual brand image. The graphic design ideas and methods should be selected to achieve accurate information to convey the meaning of the icon.
