Abstract

The work aims to study how to realize the high efficient solvent-less coating and obtain stable coating with predetermined thickness. By building a mathematical model of the coating flow in the roller gap, the impact factors of coating membrane thickness from five rollers solvent-free coating system coating film thickness were analyzed from the aspects of flux and splitting of the coating flow in the roller gap and the flow balance in the overall structure. The main influence factors of coating thickness included the speed rate between the transfer steel roller and the coating steel roller, the gap between the metering roller and the transfer steel roller and the pressure of the rubber transfer roller. In conclusion, the diameter of the roller, the range of load imposed on the rubber roller, the hardness of rubber roller hardness, the suitable viscosity range and the speed limit must be taken into account during the design of the five rollers solvent-free coating system.
