Abstract
This paper aims to study the determination of 1,3-Cyclobutanediol,2,2,4,4-tetramethyl in food simulants by HS-GC-MS method. After extracted by methanol aqueous simulation, the target compound was separated on the DB-5ms. The external standard method was used with 72 as target ions. In the water-based analog of TMCD by this method, the linear plots were obtained between 0.25 and 25.0 mg/L, the limits of quantification (LOQs) was 0.25 mg/L. In the olive oil analog of TMCD by this method, the linear plots were obtained between 1.25 mg/L and 25.0 mg/L, the limits of quantification (LOQs) was 1.25 mg/L. With the correlation coefficients no less than 0.995; the spiked recoveries of real cosmetics were in the range of 82.2%~106.9%, RSD (n=6) value at 0.3%~8.1%. In conclusion, this method has been proved to be simple, rapid and widely applicable, and is applicable to determining TMCD in water-based analog.
