Abstract
The main purpose was to research and solve the specification mismatching between pallet and railway carrier. A new kind of pallet was designed through adding extensive parts on the conventional pallet so as to realize the specification adjustment. Through comparing the pallet capacity before and after specification adjustment, it was clear that the pallet capacity in railway carrier could be improved with the increased extension length. In order to further determine the allowed load of the extensible pallet, finite element analysis using SolidWorks was conducted, and the data showed that the load could reach 1.5 ton as the extension length reached 100 mm. All the above results verified the superiority of the new extensible pallet in matching with railway carrier and loading capacity as compared with the ordinary pallet.
