Abstract

This work was aimed to simply the objective evaluation method of printing image quality evaluation process. In this paper, a study on the quality evaluation of printing image based on multi scale structure similarity was proposed, and multi-scale structural similarity was applied to the quality evaluation of printed image. The simulation results showed that the correlation coefficient between the objective evaluation results and the subjective evaluation results of the multi-scale structural similarity model was the highest, and the value was 0.7698, showing strong correlation. The new method based on multi-scale structural similarity proposed in this paper was an effective method to evaluate the quality of printing images.
