Abstract
The aim of this work was to explore the plan of designing marks of the external ammunition packing container in China, in order to make native ammunition packing container meet the marks demand of international civil air transport. On the basis of reserving the existing character marks of ammunition packaging, graphic marks of military material, graphic marks of storage and transport, graphic marks of dangerous material, and special marks of ammunition, the design demand of general marks, additional marks, UN special packaging marks of explosive goods, and the demand of dangerous labels and operation labels, were integrated as specified in ICAO Technical Instructions on the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air. The design designate the front layout of ammunition packing container as area for military marks, the back layout as area for civil air transport marks and labels, the left and right side surfaces as areas for military and civil air transport marks, in this way all information on demand of military and civil air transport was integrated on the packing container. The marks and labels of ammunition packing container after re-distribution met the demand of both the national military standard and the international civil air safe transport.
