A method for packaging design requirement mapping was introduced in this paper. Specific flow of requirement mapping in corrugated carton packaging design was analyzed in details, namely, the importance of customer requirements(CR) was sorted by AHP, the mapping of CR importance into product characteristics (PC) was completed based on QFD and AHP, finally the comprehensive mapping of PC into key properties requirements of the product was accomplished. Examples showed that CR could be effectively mapped into key properties requirements of the product. The results showed that the method was capable of mapping requirement during the packaging design process.
