Abstract

The aim of this work was to design an efficient automatic palletizing system which can be integrated to the end of the production line of corrugated box board. By studying on the 6 DOF palletizing robot and mechanical palletizing machine, based on the analysis of their advantages and disadvantages, the automatic palletizing system of corrugated box board was designed according to the request of the company. The AHP method was adopted in the design scheme, and the mechanical palletizing design scheme was chosen based on the request of the company and the situation of the production site. The design scheme for the novel corrugated box board automatic palletizing system was determined, the working principle and design essentials of the key device were introduced, and the structure and trajectory of the crawling manipulators were analyzed and optimized. In conclusion, this design scheme adopted two manipulators for single-layer stacking and whole-layer crawling operations, respectively. The design was reasonable, meeting the requirements of the corrugated boxes company.
