Abstract

The aim of this work was to study the dynamic simulation of roll film in the opening process. During the pulling process of roll film, the self contact between adjacent film layers was a dynamic problem with highly nonlinear behavior. This analysis meant large computation and difficult convergence. It could be solved by the proposed method for discrete modeling of the roll film by reducing the contact area in order to reduce the amount of calculation. The method was based on ANSYS software, and APDL command stream was used to establish parametric roll film model and apply boundary conditions. The revolute joints of the circle rotating around the center was created by building a rigid beam using the center and the inner circle node. Finite element model could be established for wrapped objects similar to roll film applying the discrete modeling and using revolute joints to connect the adjacent discrete bodies. The dynamics properties and mechanical behavior of the roll film were obtained after the convergence of calculation. The method for modeling and dynamic simulation of roll film in this paper was feasible, and provided reference for the contact dynamic analysis of similar roll films.
