Abstract

To solve the problem of severe breakage during production of PET flat film tape and interruption of normal continuous production, a special equipment was design for production of flat film tape using waste PET. Through analysis of the production process of flat film tape, stations were divided reasonably, the mechanical structure of the equipment was designed, and the rationality was confirmed. The flat film tapes with high toughness and excellent stretch properties were obtained, with a breaking strength of up to 50 MPa, which could be used for production of high-performance woven sacks and bags. The production line consisted by this type of special equipment could realize continuous production of PET flat film tape. The utilization of waste PET reduced the production cost and enhanced the economic efficiency, and meanwhile saved the natural resources. Moreover, it would be beneficial for environmental protection.
