Abstract

Objective To introduce the combination technique in the rust prevention. Methods By the application of the combination technique in the rust prevention of typical equipments, we introduced the feature, content and results, and further proposed the development trend in the rust protection packaging of equipment. Results Rust prevention, buffering and barrier packaging combination technique is widely used in equipment preservation and has been standardized. The combination preservation technique with the VCI stick as the core was successfully used in artillery and passed the certification of authority department. The combination technique of VCI, drying and deoxidizing was used in preservation packaging of guns, with a prevention period reaching more than 10 years. Conclusion This paper presented an analysis and outlook of the rust protection of equipment and proposed developing direction to fast reaction of equipment, light weight in packaging, multi-function of materials,visual effects and combination technique.
