Abstract

Objective To study the precision of polynomial regression algorithm in color conversion. Methods Taking 50 samples as testing sample and 232 samples as modeling samples, the optimal numbers of terms and modeling samples for Flexography pages were determined. Using polynomial regression algorithm between the L*a*b*and the CMY values, the conversion model was established and the diagram was used to show the result. Results The model could give the highest precision when the item number was 14 and the sample numbers were 26, 30, 40 for magenta, cyan and yellow, respectivelu. Conclusion Polynomial regression algorithm could be used in CMS for Flexography.
