Abstract

A certain brand of electric water heater's buffering cushion was taken as the research object. Static analysis was carried out on the buffering cushion under nude packaging horizontal stacking storage conditions. The analysis result indicated that the buffering cushion's structure is safe and reliable. In order to save materials, lightweight design was carried out on buffering cushion and it was found that the improvement measure is effective. Meanwhile, in order to get the best design parameter of the improvement measure, multi-objective optimization design was carried out. A group of optimal solution was obtained. Under the safe condition, the optimized cushion's quality was down 1. 32% compared with original structure.
