Printed images were taken as research object and image quality evaluation as the research motivation. An application process for printed image quality evaluation was established. The printed images were scanned firstly; image registration followed; scanner's special ICC profile was assigned into the scanned image; the quality index of the image we get and the original one was calculated at last. The index was used to evaluate the printed image quality. Verification experiment showed that the process is reasonable and feasible.
