Abstract

A gas chromatography-mass spectrometric (GC-MS) method was established for simultaneous determination of 2-methoxyethanol, 2-ethoxyethanol, glycol, 2-ethylene acetate and diglycol in food packaging paper. The samples were extracted with methanol assisted by ultrasound and filtered by 0. 22 滋m filter membrane. The target analytes were confirmed and quantified by GC-MS under selected ion monitor (SIM) mode with the internal standard method. The procedure of sample pretreatment and the instrument conditions were also optimized. The results showed that there are good linear relationships in the range for 5 compounds with correlation coefficients not less than 0. 999; the limits of detection of the above 5 compounds are range from 1. 52 mg / kg to 2. 76 mg / kg; the spiked recoveries at three levels are in the range of 84. 47% ~ 105. 01% , and the relative standard deviations (RSDs) of intra-day and inter-day re-peatability are less than 4% . The method is simple, rapid and accurate, and can be used for batch analysis of the 5 compounds in food packaging paper.
