Abstract

In order to improve the production efficiency, reliability and stability of modern packaging machinery, a new worm was proposed to be applied to modern packaging machinery, which was called non-backlash double roller enveloping hourglass worm. After analysis on the mathematical models of worm gearing and the helixes' equations of tooth surface, a rapid design method based on tabular layouts of article characteristics was put forward. The rapid variant design of nonbacklash double roller enveloping hourglass worm was realized, which applied the secondary development on three-dimensional CAD system using high-level language and tabular layouts of article characteristics established by SQL Server database technology. The system was demonstrated to be correct and reliable with examples.
