Abstract
The effect of drop height on apple's shelf-life below critical drop height was studied, and the subcritical bruise boundaries were established. The result showed that the dropping impact will not cause bruise of fruit when drop height is below the critical drop height, but the shelf-life of fruit will become shorter; the higher drop height, the shorter shelf-life; comparing with traditional bruise boundary, the subcritical bruise boundary relies on storage time of fruits.
