Abstract

The oxidation reduction initiation system was used to synthesize silicone modified acrylate emulsion and silicone-acrylate emulsion with the organic silicone content of 0~15wt% was prepared throgh experiment. The silicone-acrylate emulsion samples with organic silicon content of 8wt% and 15wt% were selected to characterized together with the pure acrylic emulsion. The data of contact angle, water absorption, and acid resistance of the emulsion were acquired and recorded. The factors influencing the performance of silicone modified acrylate emulsion were analyzed.
