The applications of shell in radio wave propagation, electromagnetic shielding, circuit malfunction, and logistic packaging of electronic equipment were discussed based on functional requirements of electronic system. The function and influence of shell aperture and printed circuit board hole for the performance of circuit system was analyzed and generalized. Integration technology of sensing shell was discussed. The function of shell structure and the future research direction was put forward.
