A packaging box collaborative CAD system was designed based on AutoCAD ObjectARX using windows socket mechanisms and .NET framework. The collaborative system can work in on-line or off-line condition; it has flexibility that collaborators may not be online real-time and it can work in net environment which has low transmission efficiency. The structure of the system is given, some key issues involved in implementation process were discussed and corresponding solutions were proposed.
