Application of Broadband Electromagnetic Shielding Technology in UAV and Anti-UAV Interception Fields

Abstract

To address the electromagnetic interference and countermeasure issues arising from the rapid development of UAV technology, the work aims to explore application pathways for broadband electromagnetic shielding technology to balance anti-interference capability and anti-UAV interception effectiveness. The basic principles of broadband electromagnetic shielding technology were systematically expounded, the electromagnetic environment characteristics of UAVs and anti-UAV interception systems were analyzed and the advantages and disadvantages of material shielding, structural shielding, and active shielding technologies were compared. Then, an integrated solution was proposed in response to networked protection requirements, with its effectiveness validated through case studies. The solution integrating multi-layer shielding design, protocol optimization, and coordinated jamming was demonstrated to significantly enhance anti-interference capability (increasing mission completion rate by 65%) and anti-UAV interception efficiency (achieving a success rate of 98%). Broadband electromagnetic shielding technology must evolve towards lightweight, wide-band, and intelligent development. The integration of novel materials with artificial intelligence will provide crucial technological support for comprehensive urban management scenarios.
