Abstract

The work aims to study a light, high-strength, corrosion-resistant, anti-mildew, and easy-to-install composite packaging box manufacturing technology to achieve the application of composite packaging boxes in the field of transportation. In this paper, packaging design and simulation analysis, product characterization and other processes were carried. The packaging boxes were designed into 4 kinds of 16 unit panels. Through material screening, die design and component molding technology research, the panel was made, and the weight and mechanical properties of the components were tested. As a result, the total weight of the packing box was more than 70% less than that of the metal box of the same specification. The mechanical test results showed that the actual bending strength was 85.41% higher than the theoretical calculation, and the horizontal tensile strength of foam stiffeners was 15.08% higher than the theoretical value. The results show that the modular composite packing box meets the design requirements.
