The work aims to systematically analyze the development status and the trend of Chinese express packaging based on the policy and literature review, to provide suggestions on the green transformation of express packaging. Based on the scientometrics method, the development trend of express packaging and E-commerce logistics packaging in China was summarized. Through cluster analysis and Keywordanalysis with CiteSpace software, the research results were visualized, and important node information was mined. According to statistical analysis, it is found that the research on express packaging is undergoing a rapid development period. In detail, packaging design, e-commerce logistics and recycling are three research hotspots. The recycling of express packaging and standardization of reusable express packaging are the research trends. To establish a green express packaging system, it is suggested to encourage the joint participation of multiple parties, and to enhance the integration of multidisciplinary theories and technologies, so as to provide theoretical basis and data support for relevant policy decisions.
