Aerodynamic Analysis and Optimization of Paper Arrangement Section in Sheet-fed Printing Press

Abstract

The work aims to improve the efficiency of the sheet-fed printing press, and make paper fall on the delivery table quickly and smoothly, so as to improve the speed of the press. From the perspective of aerodynamics, the force of the paper to be received under high-speed operation of the sheet-fed printing press was analyzed and the aerodynamic model of the air-jet flow was constructed and used to guide the optimization of the paper arrangement section. The optimization idea of the paper arrangement section of offset press based on aerodynamic analysis was put forward. The paper arrangement section of J20 press in Nanjing Mint Company was optimized and improved. The experimental results showed that the failure rate of the optimized paper arrangement section was reduced by about 30%. This study provides a new idea for design and optimization of the paper arrangement section, which significantly improves the paper delivery efficiency.
