Abstract
The work aims to study the effects of different cushioning materials and packaging quantity on the damage protection and shelf quality of honey peach under the conditions of drop and random vibration in conventional E-commerce packaging. With "Huayu" honey peach as the test material, four forms of packaging were adopted:corrugated board partition + single box, expandable polyethylene (EPE) lining + single box, corrugated board partition + two boxes and EPE lining + two boxes. Then, the road transportation experiment was simulated according to ISTA 3A standard to analyze the changes of honey peach shelf quality. The acceleration of corrugated board partition + two boxes packaging when falling on the surface was only 90.306 m/s2, and the cushioning performance was better than that of single box packaging, but its response was larger in random vibration, while EPE lining + single box packaging was least affected by random vibration, and the first-order and second-order resonance responses were 0.012 2 g2.Hz-1 and 0.014 3 g2.Hz-1 respectively. After simulated transportation, under the normal temperature shelf condition, the honey peach packed in corrugated board partition + two boxes always maintained low respiratory intensity and ethylene release during the shelf life, and had better appearance quality. Compared with single box packaging, two boxes packaging played a positive role in maintaining the texture, SSC, TA content and appearance quality of honey peach. Overall, with corrugated board partition as cushioning material, the packaging of two boxes is conducive to the vibration protection of honey peach in logistics transportation, and can better maintain the shelf quality, which is a suitable packaging method for E-commerce logistics of honey peach.
