Aiming at the hidden quality hazard of cigarette packs that do not have a corresponding appearance intact inspection during the production of the existing FX packaging models of Qingdao Cigarette Factory, a set of small pack visual inspection device is designed and installed to accurately eliminate unqualified cigarette packs produced in high-speed production. By installing a high-speed PLC and a visual acquisition camera, using the software image processing function to process and analyze the collected photos, the results to the upper computer were output, and the solenoid valve was controlled to accurately remove the NG cigarette packets. After several months of experimentation,, in the improved sampling, the number of defective cellophane was reduced from 13 to 1, and the number of rejects was 318 boxes; the number of defective trademark paper was reduced from 23 to 0, and the number of rejects was 766 boxes; the number of defective inner cardboard was reduced from 14 to 1, and the number of rejects was 160 boxes. It can be seen that there are a large number of defective cigarette packets in the production without inspection. After being installed and debugged and put into normal use, the performance of the detection system is stable and reliable, which can effectively reduce the hidden dangers of product quality.
