Abstract

The work aims to solve the problem of low return rate and increase of operating cost of reusable logistics packaging due to its packaging misplacement. The collection effort was introduced into the reusable logistics packaging inventory model as a decision variable. A nonlinear programming model was established to analyze the decision-making problems on the optimal inspection cycle, purchase cycle and the optimal collection effort level of reusable logistics packaging, and an iterative algorithm was designed to solve the problem. The total cost and decision variables of the system with and without the distributor's collection efforts. The optimal inspection cycle was 2.78, the optimal purchase cycle was 4.88, and the optimal effort level of distributors was 230.96. The total cost of the system was reduced by 42%, the inspection cycle of reusable logistics packaging was shortened by 49%, and the purchase cycle was shortened by 13%. In the application of reusable logistics packaging, strengthening the training of reusable logistics packaging management process is conducive to the effective operation of reusable logistics packaging system.
