Abstract
This thesis aims to explore the application of natural bacterial cellulose (BC) as packaging material in packaging field to replace traditional plastic packaging material. The research and application of BC in packaging field in recent years were reviewed; the basic cultivation process, modification technology and preparation method of BC were introduced; and the research and application of BC in packaging field were expounded. BC can be efficiently compounded with various polymers by means of layer-by-layer assembly, polymerization, connection, etc., to form cellulose-based porous composites with different microscopic sizes and structural characteristics, thereby improving its mechanical and physical properties, and regulating its barrier properties and antibacterial and sterilization properties. The common bacterial fiber modes are nanobacterial fiber and nanobacterial whisker. Bacterial cellulose materials and their composites can completely replace plastics, applying in the packaging industry, and have great research and application prospects in foodpackaging and intelligent packaging.
