Abstract

To solve the problems of cigarette packet rubbing after reset and start when the machine stopped quickly due to failure in FOCKE-FX 779 Boxer overwrapper, the cigarette packet braking system is modified based on BECKHOFF PLC to assist the original mechanism moving system to complete the accurate positioning of the cigarette packet. By analyzing the electrical control logic, linking the airbag signal and position signal to the control solenoid valve, the cigarette packet brake mechanism based on BECKHOFF PLC, cooperating with the original airbag to brake the cigarette packet, has been designed to prevent from rubbing, thus achieving the same production cycle with seven times actions. Application results showed that the total outage rate has reduced from 5.08% to 2.27%, the stability of the modified cigarette packet braking system, the quality reliability and production consumption are greatly improved, which eliminates the hidden trouble of product quality caused by not allowing the cigarette packet to be rubbed. The auxiliary cigarette packet brake mechanism has stable operation, reliable function, and strong maintenance-free in the later period, which meets the stability requirements of production equipment and provides reference for the treatment of the same type of problems.
