Abstract

The work aims to conduct damage analysis and packaging structure optimization of the electric heater package under the transportation condition based on the finite element software to solve the problem of trampling damage on electric heaters in transportation environments. According to the after-sale problems, the trampling experiment of the electric heater package was analyzed, and the electric heater and buffer package were modeled based on Creo. The finite element software was used to simulate and analyze the product package. According to the simulation results, the buffer package structure of the electric heater was optimized. Finally, the trampling results before and after the optimization were compared and the relevant packaging and transportation test was carried out to ensure that the new package meets the requirements of packaging and transportation standard. The existing cushioning packaging structure of the package did not protect the product, and a large area of stress concentration occurred in the outer cover, with the maximum stress value of 304.5 MPa. After optimization of packaging structure, the new buffer structure bore most of the force, which well protected the electric heater and met the requirements of packaging and transportation test. Through the use of finite element software to optimize the design of packaging structure, the trampling problem of electric heater is effectively solved, the buffer packaging structure of electric heater is reasonably optimized, and the development time of new packaging structure is saved.
