Abstract

The work aims to review the high-voltage electric field technology and its application in field of agriculture, and summarize its advantages and disadvantages as well as future development trends. The basic principle of high-voltage electric field technology and typical high-voltage electric field processing equipment were introduced. The different electrodes of high-voltage electric field, and the new development of high-voltage electric field technology application research were analyzed. High-voltage electric field corona discharge was a physical phenomenon of cutting-edge discharge, which had biological effects such as bacteria inhibition, promotion of seed germination, and oxidation resistance and could reduce food freezing damage, accelerate food drying rate and improve industrial dust removal efficiency. High-voltage electric field technology is widely used in the food field, but the ozone produced by ionized air and the destruction of cell tissue structure will have side effects. In the future, cross-disciplinary research needs to be carried out from the mechanism of high-voltage electric field to expand the use of high-voltage electric field in various industries, such as printers, ship hull descaling, batteries, fuel control, etc.
