Abstract
The work aims to design an automatic socks packaging machine to solve the problem of packaging in the later stage of socks production.According to the requirements of socks packaging technology, the key mechanism of the packaging machine was designed with modular design ideas to achieve functions such as automatic transportation of sock hooks, paper card access and automatic bending, sock space transfer and stitching. In the design process, Solidworks and its Motion plug-in were used for structural modeling, virtual assembly and motion simulation. Matlab and Ansys Workbench modules were used to establish key component mechanical models and perform finite element analysis. Finally, the performance of the packaging machine was analyzed by comparing with manual packaging. The design of each device of the packaging machine was reasonable. According to analysis, when there was no sock hook, the packaging machine can output a packaged product in 6.9 seconds. When there was sock hook, packaging machine can output a packaged product in 7.6 seconds, which was equivalent to the workload of 2 to 3 skilled workers in the same time. The design of automatic sock packaging machine has a reasonable structure and meets the functional requirements of sock packaging, which provides a feasible solution for automatic sock packaging.
