Abstract

The work aims to improve the protective performance of the package by optimizing the design of the overall package of the child safety seat, to avoid the appearance and functional damage caused by the seat in the process of logistics transportation, so as to save the production cost. The finite element models of seats and packages were established by finite element method and the simulation analysis was carried out under different working conditions. Physical test of the product was conducted to verify the validity of the model. Based on the drop simulation and test results, the optimal scheme was proposed from the aspects of package design and seat structure, and the optimal scheme was determined based on the optimized results. The falling simulation results were consistent with the experimental results, and there were many cases of seat back damage in different working conditions, so it was determined as the main research object. The proposed packaging optimization scheme had better protection performance and the stress was reduced under different falling conditions. The maximum stress of the structure in the side falling condition was reduced to 23.4 MPa, which was close to the yield value of the material. The optimized ratio was reduced by 11.0 % compared with the original packaging. The validity of the finite element model is verified by the agreement of simulation and experimental results. Optimizing the packaging design, improving the product structure and other measures can solve the problem of falling and breaking, and improve the anti-impact performance of the child seat.
