Abstract

The work aims to design a new multi-cutter corrugated box proofing machine, so as to solve the problem of low production efficiency of the traditional corrugated box proofing machine. The design of creasing-cutting integrated cutter head enabled the proofing machine to switch functions between creasing and the cutting by controlling the motions of corresponding air cylinder. The pneumatically interlocking fixed jaw and mobile jaw, combined with the synchronous belt driven by servomotor, could realize the combined driving and positioning of one transverse cutter head and multiple longitudinal cutter heads. The feeding device driven by servomotor achieved paper feeding and feeding motion of longitudinal cutting. PLC-based control system was used to complete processing parameter input, box information calculation and control commands sending. In the test of the prototype, all parts of the mechanism ran normally, the accuracy met the design requirements, the control system could complete the scheduled tasks, and the outline dimension error of the box products was less than 1 mm. The processing time was reduced by more than 25% compared with the traditional device. With the creasing-cutting integrated cutter heads arranged in parallel, the processing efficiency of the proposed equipment is greatly improved on the premise of ensuring the processing quality.
