Abstract

The work aims to design a tray sorting system based on the Fischertechnik, aiming at automatic sorting of plates, trays, spoons and chopsticks, saving labor costs and improving work efficiency, and demonstrating the practicality and advantages of the Fischertechnik model in the innovative training, and cultivating students' awareness of independent innovation and their ability to solve engineering problems. The mechanisms of bowl separation, spoon and chopstick sep-aration and plate separation in the tray sorting system were designed. The Fischertechnik model was used to construct the physical model of the tray sorting system. The Weilun touch screen was used as the upper computer, and the Siemens S7-200PLC was used as the control method of the lower computer to develop the control program of the tray sorting system. The experimental results showed that, the tray sorting system had high sorting efficiency and could realize automatic sorting of a variety of tableware, which improved work efficiency. The tray sorting system successfully separates the models of bowls, plates, chopsticks and metal spoons in the trays and collects them by type. It can be used as the experimental teaching equipment in mechanical classroom teaching and PLC courses, and has practical promotion significance for practical production.
