Abstract
The development of the times must be accompanied by the emergence of new designs and the elimination of obsolete designs. Outdated design products are also a kind of design resources that can be tapped in depth. They are also the sustenance of many people's hearts and memories. It takes obsolete obsolete products, which eliminated by the high-speed development of the society, as the subject to study its redesign, in order to endow them new life, and to satisfy requirements of sustainable society and achieve people’s nostalgia emotion satisfaction. Through the analysis of the basic needs of modern users on products, the problems and reuse points of the obsolete articles are judged and obtained, and the redesign theory method is used as the guidance. And through the analysis of the related cases, the ways and methods of the redesign of the obsolete supplies are put forward. The redesign of outdated goods is based on preserving some old elements, through the methods of function redesign, morphological structure redesign, aesthetic redesign and emotional redesign, so that obsolete products can satisfy user’s needs for material functions and spiritual and emotional needs once again.
