This work aimed to study the fabricating process of super-hydrophobic surface on packaging galvanized sheet steel and to determine the best technological parameters. The super-hydrophobic surface was built on the galvanized sheet steel using phase separation technique, and the influences of melting temperature, quantity of PP-g-MAH, quantity of ethanol and drying temperature on the super-hydrophobic performance of the galvanized sheet steel surface were studied. The results showed that when the melting temperature was 118 °C, the quantity of PP-g-MAH was 10 g/L, the quantity of ethanol was 0.45 ml and the drying temperature was 10 °C, the super-hydrophobic performance of packaging galvanized sheet steel was the best, the contact angle reached 155.7° , and the sliding angle was only 3° . The excellent super-hydrophobic performance, self cleaning performance and erosion resistant performance of galvanized sheet steel will have some practical value in its packaging application.
