The color of design for OTC packaging is studied. It points that packaging color should accurately reflect characteristics and meet consumers′psychological needs. The color data are collected and analyzed on samples through average colors mixing method in photoshop based on CIELab. Law and the role of packaging color design are studied,and the relationship between function of medicine and the color of packaging is discussed. Color design strategy based on "symptom color" and "therapeutic effect color" has been proposed in order to provide valuable reference about medicine packaging color design.
