To study the relevant methods and possibility in packaging design based on the effective communication of information. Based on the situation that current society is shifting from understanding of the text to the image illustration, it analyzed the importance of the text in conveying the product information in the packaging design, integrating the design thought of customer analysis, consumption scenario, big data and etcetera systematically, and proved them by designing practical cases. Starting with the current situation of the product information conveyance,it refined the essential communicating visual elements from the design sufficiently; combined with the form and meaning of text design properly, it presented a organic theoretical researching system, conveyed the product information efficiently by studying the text in packaging design.
