Investigation of the Usage of Fluorescent Brightener in Paper Food Packaging Materials in Hebei Area

To investigate the usage of fluorescent brightener in paper food packaging materials in Hebei area. Usage of 96 paper food packaging materials were investigated by ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) with fluorescence assay in this paper. Among the 96 samples, 11 samples were found with fluorescent brightener, the detection rate was 11.4% . Ten target compounds were detected in this experiment, and the maximum value among the positive samples was 367.1 mg/kg. The detection data showed that the contamination of fluorescent brightener in paper food packaging materials was serious in Hebei region, which needs to be given more attention.
