A halogen-free and smoke suppression flame retardant was prepared. Ordinary corrugated cardboard was treated with the flame retardant. The influences of the flame retardant on flame retardant performance and mechanical properties of corrugated cardboard were studied. The results showed that oxygen index of the flame retardant coated corrugated cardboard can reach 28%, which is retardant level; the flame retardant corrugated cardboard’s edgewise crush resistance increases 12.7%; flat compression strength increases 39.1%; and bursting strength increases 10%; the mechanical properties are apparently enhanced.
