The work aims to provide help for the green transformation of catering takeaway packaging. The considerations, concerns and selection criteria of catering takeaway packaging were introduced briefly. The common takeaway packaging forms were summarized and the advanced suggestions of green packaging were put forward. The existing cases of green packaging were analyzed. Catering takeaway green packaging should comprehensively consider the performance, environmental protection, appearance and price according to the characteristics of food, because different categories of food had different green advancement methods. The difference of food leads to a variety of packaging forms, and the packaging should show the characteristics of the food and meet the environmental protection requirements. Therefore, the development trend of catering takeaway packaging is diversified, personalized and green.
