The work aims to study the process of winding modeling with respect to the composite box of a rectangular section. The material system was optimized and the structural optimization design was conducted. The key technologies (such as winding tension control of the box of a rectangular section and rapid placement of the functional layer, etc.) were broken through by means of combined forming mold and spiral winding. The box passed various performance tests and environmental test examinations. The process is suitable for the winding molding of the launch box of resin based composite, and it can be used as a reference for the winding modeling of other uniform- section composite components.
